//// PURE FILTH SOUND
Sam & Dave linked up about a year ago while both working at the Ninja tunes 20 year anniversary party in L.A. After bunning down a couple of hoons, the two Brit’s started chatting and it became apparent that they shared alot of similar music history. Next thing you know they’re in the studio and “crash, bang, whallop” they’ve knocked out an album! After first hearing it Lemon D @ Valve Sound U.K classified it as “Footwork Bass” and then his son called it “Basswork.” We’re not really sure what to call it, but we do know one thing, it definitely has lots of Bass and seems to work well at moving feet! You make your own mind up tho!

Oberhofer’s music runs the gamut of indie sub-genres, from noise pop to dance punk, and even “freak folk.” Take the song “Dead Girls Can Dance”; now, imagine Noah Lennox (Panda Bear) crashing into Wavves. And, “I Could Go,” with its whistling, oohs and ahhs, vocal layering, smashing cymbals, and somehow catchy hooks, is, all at once, mysterious, engaging and strange.

//// MT EDEN
As dubstep production duo Mt Eden (formerly Mt Eden Dubstep), Jesse Cooper and Harley Rayner are truly putting New Zealand - and dubstep as a genre - on the map. You could write that off as industry hyperbole, but in this case a little braggadocio is entirely apt: to date the New Zealand based act can claim over 80 million collective plays of their tracks on YouTube - more than any other New Zealand act, ever.
