Mazzy Star is an American alternative rock band formed in Santa Monica, California, in 1989 from the group Opal, a collaboration of guitarist David Roback and bassist Kendra Smith. Roback’s friend Hope Sandoval became the group’s vocalist when Smith left the band.
Mazzy Star is probably best known for the song “Fade into You” which brought the band some success in the mid 1990s and was the group’s biggest mainstream hit, earning extensive exposure on MTV, VH1, and radio airplay. Roback and Sandoval are the creative center of the band, with Sandoval as lyricist and Roback as composer of the majority of the band’s material.

Martin Picandet (French pronunciation: [maʁtɛ̃ pikɑ̃dɛ]), better known under his stage name Martin Solveig, is a French electronic music DJ and producer from Paris. He also hosts a weekly radio show called “C’est La Vie” on stations worldwide including FG DJ Radio in his homeland. His label is called Mixture Stereophonic.

//// MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA
Manchester Orchestra is an American indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2005. The group is currently composed of rhythm guitarist-singer-songwriter Andy Hull, lead guitarist Robert McDowell, keyboardist and percussionist Chris Freeman, bassist Jonathan Corley, and drummer Tim Very. Former drummer Jeremiah Edmond parted ways with the band in January 2010 to focus on his family as well as running the band’s record label, Favorite Gentlemen. To date they have released several extended plays and three studio albums: I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child (2006), Mean Everything to Nothing (2009) and Simple Math (2011).

Madness are a British pop/ska band from Camden Town, London, that formed in 1976. The band continue to perform with their most recognised line-up of seven members, although their line-up has varied slightly over the years. They were one of the most prominent bands of the late-1970s 2 Tone ska revival.
Madness achieved most of their success in the early to mid 1980s. Both Madness and UB40 spent 214 weeks on the UK singles charts over the course of the decade, holding the record for most weeks spent by a group in the 1980s UK singles charts. However, Madness achieved this in a shorter time period (1980–1986).

Hailing from Nantes in France, recently turned 17 year old Madeon came to the attention of the world for his unique blend of Pop/House/Electro via his ‘Shuriken’ and ‘For You’ tracks as well as his amazing remix of Pendulum’s ‘The Island’ single, which won a remix competition set up by Warner Records and picked as the winning remix by Rob Swire (vocalist from the band). His most recent remixes on the Yelle ‘Que Veux Tu’ and Deadmau5 ‘Raise Your Weapon’ singles, have been a huge success with support from the likes of: Martin Solveig, Alan Bract, Porter Robinson, Skrillex, Pete Tong, Rob Swire, Axwell, Deadmau5 and more. His ‘Pop Culture’ mashup was viewed over 1 Milion times in 7 days on his Youtube channel. Madeon’s Debut EP is due for release later this year.

M83 is a musical act by French musician Anthony Gonzalez. It is named after a spiral galaxy, Messier 83. The band was founded in 2001 by Gonzalez and former member Nicolas Fromageau in Antibes, France. The musical style of M83 owes something to the shoegazing genre in its extensive use of reverb effects and lyrics spoken softly over loud instrumentals, although M83’s songs employ considerably less guitar than most shoegazing bands. Gonzalez and Fromageau parted ways shortly after touring for their second album Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts, and now Gonzalez records mainly on his own, often with the help of his brother Yann Gonzalez, vocalist/keyboardist Morgan Kibby, and drummer Loïc Maurin.

The story of Le Butcherettes starts in 2008 with: KISS & KILL EP conceived in a homemade way thing that rapidly attracted the media and hundreds of people that became hardcore fans of this group. A year later the independent/underground industry of Mexico acknowledged their work awarding them the tittles of “Best Punk Record” and “Best New Artist”. At the end of 2008 Teri Gender Bender, drummer Normandi and Omar Rodríguez López meet and from that moment on the project changed.

Laura Beatrice Marling is an English folk musician from Eversley, Hampshire. Initially prominent within the London folk scene, she has also toured with a number of well-known indie artists in the UK. Her debut album Alas, I Cannot Swim and her second album I Speak Because I Can were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2008 and 2010 respectively. She won Best Female Solo Artist at the 2011 Brit Awards.

Kendrick Lamar is an American rapper, and songwriter. He first gained major attention after the release of his 2010 mixtape O(verly) D(edicated). In 2011, his album Section.80, released exclusively through iTunes, instantly ranked as one of the top digital hip-hop releases of the year. Lamar has amassed a large internet following, is a member of hip hop collective Black Hippy, along with Jay Rock, Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul, and has worked with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Wiz Khalifa, Game, Drake, Busta Rhymes and Tech N9ne among other popular artists.

Ryan Raddon better known by his stage name Kaskade, is an American DJ and record producer. On October 20, 2011, DJ Magazine announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Records, Kaskade placed at #30. On September 9, 2011, a DJ Times poll voted Kaskade “America’s Best DJ 2011”.

Kasabian is an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997. Originally comprising vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and keyboardist Christopher Karloff, guitarist and backing, occasional lead vocalist Sergio Pizzorno and bassist Chris Edwards, the band has released four studio albums – Kasabian (2004), Empire (2006), West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (2009), and Velociraptor! (2011). The band currently features Meighan, Pizzorno, Edwards, and drummer Ian Matthews. Pizzorno has become Kasabian’s lead songwriter since Karloff’s departure.
